How different legalization has made life – and even figuring out where to start this site.

HINT: It’s good!

I won’t say precisely where I lived but, it was an area when plenty of forest existed. What some call “the country”. More north-east in the USA. This provided plenty of growing opportunities and basically “everyone and their mother smoked bud” (as the locals say). I never thought much of it growing up except “oh @!#! the cops!” if we saw them which looking back, was not smart. I am not here to rub anything in anyone’s face. I have grown up. I respect the law as does anyone that works with me. Anyway, it wasn’t a major crime like most places – usually a fine or even just a warning – but if you had other offenses even small, it could add up and end your life quickly.

I have another post here that goes over some of my medical experience with it which can primarily be summarized as “it helps my sleep” (buy may be interesting for epileptics and others nonetheless). This post comes today because I’ve been stalling getting this site going due to it just flat out being weird, honestly. Before, I did not have the option of THC. This post is me basically loosening up for my first site like this. I have worked on more than I remember, with more people than I can remember but, this is different. If you’re reading this and come back to discuss anything once the site grows do know it is personal so I must remove anything that could be perceived as illegal, etc. I do not enjoy censoring. So long as possible, I will personally let you know the reason. Then my team. Eventually, there will be too many users but everyone should have a general understanding. It will be a bit before the forums are finished anyway and they are completely isolated.

I’ve lived multiple places in the USA in the past where THC and even CBD were illegal. Some areas are more strict than others. When it first started becoming legal I thought “that will never happen here” .. and to this day that is correct. I just happened to move to where it was legal. I stayed for the doctors. Smoking cannabis directly did not help. Consuming the buds or edibles does not help as it is not reliable and takes too long to kick in.

I touch on my epilepsy as mentioned and most of us with it that cannot sleep seize more. That’s the short version. Most sleep drugs interfere with ours if they don’t cause issues directly. The ones that don’t are typically old anti-depressants that simply have a side-effect of tiredness so they try off-label. You wind up feeling funky and tired but still unable to sleep.

So .. what’s the answer for me?

A vaporizer. It’s changed my life. In the evening I can use it right when I want it, just the amount I want and sleep well. I wake up happy and ready to get to work. If my condition happens to be acting up, a little here and there will help calm it down during the day without making me a zombie.

I have plenty of time for my side studies (kind of geeky) and my family and I live a very productive life. Without it, I sit around playing video games because I’m too stupid to do anything else due to being tired. Pretty opposite of the old videos huh? This server brought to you by: cannabis. This is a full-on server here. We will be working to setup forums and everything. I have ample experience in every corner and absolutely love it. I look forward to creating a community here.

On that note and to the point of this post: I have long studied computer science as my primary hobby. I say hobby because I enjoy it but, I’ve decades into it, and I do well. Along-side that are other things – botany among them – that feed into constructing this website. It only just hit me the other day – the reality – of how different it is now, being able to do this, this freely.

If I moved back to where I was, I would not be able to sleep first of all. I cannot take ambien and alike as they interfere with my medications. I have gone through the alphabet. I would wind up dead or in a coma, again. This is no joke. I started making this site in appreciation of the plant and I realized that I probably wouldn’t be here without it. I just had a break from working on this site because I was stubborn and tried to take a break to “be professional”. Lesson learned. I got absolutely Zero done. I’m very happy to have this chance here; this ability to just get it from a store, have it without worry about police and simply work and support my family.

For some of us, this isn’t a game or just for money. Yep, there’s ads. I will include a guide on how to add them to your ad blocker because I did make custom code for the site. For many extensions, you can right click (or long-press) the ad and have an option to add it to be blocked and it is that simple. I have no issue with that and you’ll never see those popups asking you to disable them. They annoy me too. The custom code was actually for the benefit of you visitors. I don’t use random ads. They are all cannabis products as of writing this. This required setting it up myself. Some people don’t mind them and I do hand select them as of now, seriously. Any money generated from this site – aside from surviving – will be used for positive goals. Right now, I have a plan in mind for something to potentially save many epileptics’ lives. There will be a link here to said guide once complete.

I understand many people push for legalization of basically every drug and .. there’s valid points to some and plenty of valid arguments against them. Cannabis however, it was demonized for no good reason and I think most people know this by know. The more of us willing to speak up in support, the better.

As I am now able to work due to not constantly seizing, I have epilepsy-related projects lined up but they will require a lot of funding. That is something I can do myself, over time. While I’m doing that, I’m putting together a group to get this going to help push support even more. In the future we hope to be able to truly help.

It’s almost weird to be able to speak openly. We must remember that on the federal level, it is not yet legal. Regarding other countries, I will make it more clear that this site focuses on United States law in the near future, until I can find folks with expertise in locations we lack here. For the USA, two of us are going over every law we can possibly cram in our minds before we even start to think about articles about them.

Whether you’re a recreational or medicinal user, business owner, blogger, etc… here’s to legalization!

We would love to hear from anyone who’s life has been truly improved by cannabis.

Note: This has been edited over three days to reflect it’s title as we prepare our initial actual content and have finished tightening everything up. I can see the future of this site. I cannot wait for you to be able to also!

Everything I make will be for good. This may mean little now but it’s a promise. In time.

I’d offer you a hit before leaving but I can’t see you. Peace out!
